Brian has been playing guitar for over twenty years and I regularly play to audiences in Brighton and London.  Over the years he has  performed in America and many European cities in a rich variety of musical styles.

Originally from Bristol, he studied guitar with legendary guitarist Jack Toogood.  This led to a lifelong love of the music of Django Reinhardt.

He plays acoustic swing jazz with his Hot Club de Paris style band Swing DeVille

Brian plays a Rob Aylward Selmer / Maccaferri acoustic reproduction An absolute beauty of a guitar, handmade by the best luthier in the country.  I play this guitar every single day.  It has a crisp balanced tone and a very responsive neck.  The more you drive it, the more it gives back.  An extraordinary guitar.- Brian Powell

Swing DeVille plays the Cleveland Pub, Cleveland Road, Brighton every month.  It's usually the last Sunday in the month but check with venue - 01273 502396 - for any changes.
