Live At Concert Jazz - Our First CD Release

Our first Live Album release was 16th June 07 - CD Day
'Duets for Django'
Paul Vernon Chester & Nick Mellor - recorded at Live @ Concert Jazz Thame on 14/03/07 (Paul's Birthday). This celebration may account for the Manouche Magic captured by Jake Kirkpatrick
This live recording gives a great insight to Paul's compositions, faultless technique and ability to improvise inventively on a chord structure.
The listening audience were so enraptured that their presence is only apparent in the enthusiastic applause at the end of each number. - were you there - get your record copy of this phenomenal performance.  This is professional stuff - no Bootleg productions - all worthy of our Highest Standards.
Track Listings are
Loverman
Douce Ambience
Chez Jacquet
Autumn Leaves
Lady Be Good
St Louis Blues
Mona Lisa
Blues en Mineur
Django's Waltz
Anouman
September Song
Minor Swing

Just to let you know how delighted we are with the final product. As anticipated the recording quality is top notch and the packaging looks great.  Love the colour scheme. Nick's guitar works well for the tweaked volume. Notwithstanding the CD works really well. Many thanks for your hard work Jake and I feel we have a recording that truly reflects our performance ideals. It's only when you hear the audience at the end of each track you realise this is a live recording! I feel the same tension that I felt at the gig!
Very well done mate, you know your stuff. - Paul.

Many thanks for calling in with the CD, I am very impressed and is a great reminder of a great concert.- Martin

Exclusive - Here are some tempting morsels of the live performance @ Concert Jazz in Thame for your delectation.

Anouman - composed by Django - a reflective and beautiful slow tempo number.

After Your Gone complete with mid flight apology for a chance string break as a result of Paul's relentless attack on his guitar

Add your own Gigs and Opinions - on Jazz Only Please!!

The Calendar overtakes the old Jazz Diary and release some much needed space.  Dinner Jazz Venues will continue to be listed.

Any comments news items and suggestions are welcome on this Forum site and there will be no smut tolerated as it is all vetted by the Jazzmaster.

- we also need Venues and committed audience attendance to keep these award winning Musicians in Work - they are certainly above the price of your local Disco or a Karaoke Night - This is Real Live Jazz!! - with real live thinking breathing and reactive Musicians who have studied hard at our famous Musical Institutions to get their Diploma's - give them your fully committed support!  Go and Hear them and Marvel!!

WE NEED YOUR HELP…………

Thee are times of year when things are difficult for us, so even if you can’t make it yourself we really do appreciate it if you encourage friends and colleagues to attend or gigs and help sustain a Live Jazz Art presence in the Area.  If you would like some extra gig guides to put out in your work place that would be a terrific help and of course you can always send people to this comprehensive web site.. Given that this is only our  2nd year we need to expand the awareness of the Community to the quality of jazz performances - please network for each event! Thanks.
